Much has happened across 2020 and despite the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic we continue to bring you the latest developments in privacy law.
Across England and Wales many Courts continued to operate via remote hearings. The adaptability of the Court system has, in many cases, served to safeguard the principles of open justice and the right to a fair trial.
Despite delay many significant cases, such as the highly publicised libel trial concerning Johnny Depp and the Sun Newspaper, continued.
To reflect this over the next week we will be posting our highly anticipated Top 10 posts on Defamation, Privacy and Data Protection cases this year. We will also be adding a post on data breach fines this year to highlight the significance of these matters under the General Data Protection Regulation.
